Long Overdue Update

So, I've been pretty busy since my last update;
  • Multiple craft services jobs.
  • Production Coordinator for a 3D shoot
  • And 2nd AD on a feature...
A Cabin in the Woods was a great shoot. We were on location in Government Camp on Mt. Hood for two weeks. It was an AWESOME crew who were very supportive me as I was going through a difficult time personally. The snow was beautiful and you can see some of my photos from location at my facebook page.

Coming up?

Lot's of stuff. Producing one feature, 1st AD on another feature, some prospective extras casting, and a few other things that I can't talk about, yet.

This is looking to be a very busy and productive year!

Short Job Coming Up

I'll be working on a commercial shoot next week. I'm providing craft services and hot breakfast for a Fifty Films production. The production company is from Utah and have hired some of us locals to round out the crew. We'll be shooting around downtown Portland for 3 days starting Sunday. Looking forward to a nice short shoot.

A Change in Position

So, if it doesn't change everyday it's not a real film, right? I've transitioned from Production Coordinator to 2nd AD now that we start production on Monday. I'm really happy about this change.

We start shooting on Monday with a very ambitious schedule. We have an amazing crew and I know we'll get it done!

House of Last Things

Wow! This week's schedule has been wild! On Sunday I got a call and in about 10 mins I became the Production Coordinator on a feature film called House of Last Things. And I started work the next day. So, between starting this new movie, working the last day of Kill Hole and the Kill Hole wrap party I've had about 9 hours of sleep this week.

Things are getting moving but we gotta move quick because we are just a little over two weeks out from shooting. I think it's gonna be a fun shoot.

That's a Picture Wrap on Me!

We've wrapped up all the days with extras on The Kill Hole. Shooting wraps on the 24th but my job is done. I'm sad. Funnest crew to work with by far!

I love Alternate Ending Studios!

Week Two Starts Tomorrow!

One week down, 3 to go! Day 6 of 20 starts tomorrow!

I'm having a blast on this shoot! The crew is amazing and fun and everyone pitches in. I even joined the grip and electric crew for half a day last week.

More fun this week and I'm even getting in front of the camera playing a waitress on Friday.

Amazing Day on Set Yesterday!

Okay, so I'm posting this everywhere and can't stop talking about it. Something amazing happened on set yesterday and it was because of my background talent.

My Veterans Support Group was sitting around and talking on set, (they were all real vets ranging from Vietnam to Iraq and Afghanistan and things in between that we don't even know about), and the director had the crew start running sound and camera without telling them. What came out was so raw and true and powerful. Billy Zane was so giving with them and "lead the group" but somewhere the line between actor and human blurred. Even for one of our leads, Chadwick Boseworth, who's character is a part of the group. Billy and Chadwick both stepped out at points so that they could change wardrobe for the next scene without disrupting the group dynamic.

There was not a dry eye at the monitor. And the guys themselves were experiencing something amazing. It's something that I will never forget. THIS IS WHY I LOVE CASTING!
