Two Jobs Coming Up Next Week.

Next week will be kind of busy for me. Which is a good thing!

Monday I'll be working with Bunim-Murray again on a casting project. I love working with these guys!

Then, the next three days will be providing crafty for a commercial production. This is my second job with a new client. Looks like I made a good impression. Yay!

Two jobs coming up

Next week I have two crafty jobs booked. The first one I booked is for an old client through a new production company. I booked this one while I was working on Trainmaster 2. It is two days on a stage doing crafty for about 14 people. I'll be on this one Wednesday and Thursday next week.

The second job I booked yesterday and I'll be on this one Tuesday of next week. This one will be crafty for about 30 people but also on a stage so no open air food prep this time.

The shoot on Sunday went really well. The crew was awesome! The extras were fantastic! Spencer was amazing! We all had a blast!

My cheeks hurt because I was smiling and laughing so much. It was a great day.

Last Day of the First Week

Widow's Walk Lake has been a challenge from the day I signed on but a good one!

Today is the last day of this week's shoot. We've had an amazing location to work in. It's a beautiful mansion listed on the national historic register.

This movie is very cool and looks awesome. I'm very excited to be a part of this project.

New Gig!

I've just joined a production in progress as 1st AD. Widow's Walk Lake has already filmed for a few days. Our next round of shooting is next Mon, Tues, and Wed. Jumping into the middle of a lake head first!

It's a really cool script and I'm excited to be a part of this production.

The Train Ride is Over!

And it was a wild ride! Had a rough start but finished on a high note. Such a great crew to work with. I had a ton of fun. The talent was all great, too.

Phil has a good series on his hands if he chooses to make it one.

New Work

I worked yesterday on a commercial shoot. 2nd AD! I had a fun time. But, damn it was hot out. Good thing the location had air conditioning for a quick escape.

Music Video shoots

I am producing a music video for local artist David Brothers. Along with my partner Andrew Michael Warnecke who wrote and will be directing the video. Yay for slightly paid work! We'll be shooting the weekend of the 11th and 12th here in Portland.

We'll also be shooting pickups for a video we shot a while back. We just haven't been able to get the spfx done and Andrew has changed up the storyline a bit and we both think it's going to make it better.

THAT'S A WRAP!

We wrapped principal photography on The Imaginals on Sunday, June 7. My first feature length 1st AD gig. Loved it! The crew, while being kinda green, was professional, eager to learn and great to work with. They all have my recommendations. And those of you who know me well know that that ain't easy to get from me.

Now it's all in Kevin's hands. Post is his realm. I know that him and Adrian are anxious to have their house back after months of it being a hot set.

Now to the future, who needs an AD?

Last week of principal photography

We are in our last week of shooting! Wed, Thurs, Sat and Sun. It's been a blast, a lot of work and pretty rewarding. However, I'm looking forward to having time off and my weekends back.

Bad Girls and Imaginals

We've got 3 days down on The Imaginals. Filming has gone well but, again, we've only got 3 days down. And we all know that anything can happen. We're getting into a good groove though and I don't forsee any issues.

Bad Girls casting has been fun. Still seeing people if anyone's interested. I got wonderful compliments from the Bunim-Murray casting department. It's nice to hear that every once in a while.

The Bad Girls Club!

I'm recruiting for the Oxygen network's The Bad Girls Club. One of my favorite production companies to work with, Bunim-Murray, is casting season 4 of the hit cable reality show. This is the second season I've been called to help out. I'm still looking for more gals to interview so if you or someone you know is interested in being a part of the show please contact me asap! I gotta have you on camera by Monday morning.

Lot's to update

Lot's going on now.

The Imaginals is in full pre-pro mode. Things are coming together very nicely. We've got some great locations, awesome talent and an eager crew. Still lots to do. Location scouts, schedules, emails, etc.

I'm waiting to hear from Crowley with a schedule for when they will be using me. Same with Leverage.

May is going to be hectic. The Imaginals will be shooting and I'm sure that I'll start getting calls from both of the other productions, too. I need to learn how to juggle.

Wednesday, March 25, 2009

Finally! Something to update!

Sunday was a very good day. I got a call from the Crowley production. I will be dayplaying as a PA on the show. It runs from April 16 thru June.

After that call, I emailed the the co-producer/1st AD on Leverage. I will be dayplaying as a PA on that show, too. It runs from about now thru September.

I'm still working on The Imaginals as PM and 1st AD. Pre-production is going well and in full swing. We go into principal production the 1st of May and will wrap up first week of June.

Lot's of good news for work but it's going to require some major juggling skills to manage all three over the next couple of months.

Guest Speaking!

Last night I was a quest speaker at the Film Center for a Production Management class. This is the fourth time I've been asked to be a speaker. Sometimes I feel like I don't have the qualifications but every time that I talk to others it gives me a boost of energy. Kinda like it reminds me of what I love about this industry.

I've also been asked to speak at a workshop on February 16th. I'll be speaking on extras casting for independent and major feature films. Going over the legalities, paperwork, the casting process, what to look for in an extra, etc. I'll post the workshop information as soon as I get all the details.

The Imaginals!

I've signed on to be the Production Manager and Assistant Director for the independent film "The Imaginals." Very low budget but I think it will be a good experience and a lot of fun. I'm really liking the filmmakers, too.

The feature will be shot mostly weekends and evenings in May. If anyone wants to volunteer some time with preproduction or production feel free to drop me an email.

New Gig

I just signed on to PM and AD an indie feature called The Imaginals. It's an extremely ambitious film for a low budget. It will prove to be challenging but I think I need some challenges to keep my brain occupied.

I'll keep things updated as the production goes along.

Cheers!

News for the New Year

It's been a while since I've updated things. I've had 2 or 3 days of work since my last update. I've been busy working retail over the holidays and moving in November.

Follow the Prophet is premiering at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival January 23, 24 & 25, 2009. I won't be able to make it, unfortunately. I know it will be awesome and so many of my extras were featured on camera. I can't wait to see it.
